Economics

Is the course work for economics "difficult"? What math would I have to go up to, etc.

I was thinking of getting an undergrad in economics w/ a minor in business because I want to apply for MBA after I have some experience.

Thoughts?

Would it be possible to "double major" with economics & a school within communication AND have a minor in business? I'm really interested in Ratio-TV-Film but also want to be able to get an MBA and be able to have a job within the business world.

for economic majors, you only have to go up to 408D/408M, which is multivariable calculus

I’ll let the more experienced post their thoughts, but here’s the suggested course schedule:
[Department of Economics, University of Texas at Austin](http://www.utexas.edu/cola/depts/economics/undergraduate/suggested_schedule/)

Well when you get to upper division economics, I have heard it is not as easy as it might seem. I talked to someone who transferred from Electrical Engineering to Economics and he said it wasn’t any easier for him.

don’t let them fool you into thinking economics a science or anything. its secretly a religion.

get this: money doesn’t exist.

but other than that good luck. haha.

What kind of math is required for the MBA?

an MBA actually requires a lot less math and more accounting…
