ECs all in one place?

I have two or three ECs from school, but most, let's say 7 out of 10, ECs were done at my church.
I'm rather church and religion-oriented so I've been dedicated to it.
It even played a factor of me giving up the principal violin position in a local orchestra (because there were too much practices on Sunday. Can I mention this in the additional information section?).

But is it bad that nearly ALL 4 years of my ECs revolve around church?
Would the colleges think I'm lying? Or would it be viewed as dedication?

In addition, half of those ECs at church have to do with children lol.
I guess you can say my activities aren't really diverse.

thank you!!

and I’m talking about IVY schools.
and I have no leadership positions.

thank youuu

meep

I don’t think having a focus in one area would necessarily count against you, and could help you with regards to schools like Georgetown and Notre Dame. I mean, if you were the leader of your youth group or something that would probably be better, but if not, I don’t think it’s a deal-breaker.

Ivy League schools are highly selective and it’s kind of a crapshoot as to your chances–I would check your school’s Naviance or past acceptance data to see where you fall.

Best of luck!
