EC's for Transfer?!?!

How important do you think are E.C.s for students wishing to transfer? I'm planning on applying for transfer to GWU for fall 2010, and while I'm going to do my best to get that 4.0, I am not sure if my E.Cs will be strong or even existent when I send my app in. I know E.Cs, (in most cases), were a HUGE deal when applying as a freshman in high school, but how important are they now as a transfer? More? Less? I will most likely do some limited volunteer work on the weekends this semester, but nothing compared to what I did in high school. I feel like if I do start up volunteer work/clubs/activities, I may get really overwhelmed especially during the 1st semester as a freshman.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Anyone…?

According to CC advisers, some ECs have more value than others. The ones which benefit whole your community rather than a specific group of students. For example, being senator of your SGA, gardening on your campus and being and ambassador will look better than having membership pf Russian literature club.

PS, If you have founded it useful please correct my grammar mistakes. Russian is my 1st lang.
