Ec's!!!!!!!!

how can i boost my EC'S theyr really weak and my school doesnt offer great ones, maybe i could start a club!?!?! please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What are you into? Music/theatre/drama? Almost all schools i know of have a theatre program. Starting clubs is a great idea, its also a good idea to get involved in things outside of school like volunteer service, finding work, church activities, etc... Sports count as EC's if you're into those. Clubs don't look very good on college apps unless you are deeply involved. Don't just join clubs to put them on your app. Best thing is to get involved in a few and perhaps take leadership roles. Quality > Quantity

LIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
no, dont do that, plz don't do that.
anyway, with ecs, you gotta have passion!!!! that's the fore and most important thing. If you are doing it for apps, then you might as well leave that section out! Recently, i was selected by the school to represent school in safety conference. With recs. provided and big position in the region. But then, i thought wat's that gotta do with me? do i really enjoy doing that??? seriously, it doesn't interest me at all. so i told them i couldn't do it. Anyway, my point is, don't do stuff for prestige, start a club only if you are really into it. b/c it requires not only hard work, it also requires your dedication. with that said, i hope you would make wise decisions with your ECs :)
I co-started a club here are some stuff you should do:
do proposal including positions and discription of all positions
think about time u want to dedicate to it
think of your goal
make proposals,
budgets (most important, you don't want a club with $20 a month, i am in a student body, my club has about $800 for 1 year and my student body has 14000 for a year, but you do fund raisers)
anyway
plan everything out
good luck

no sports (althought i did freshman yr but i didnt continue..do u think tahts gonna look bad)..not much of an artist..theater person...or musician..lol
i dont know..i love helping out...?

If I were you I would find some volunteer work, if you are politically active start a Young republicans/democrats club. Get involved in something you are really passionate about. Maybe write for your school newspaper if you're a good writer. If you did a sport and quit, its not going to look as bad as not doing one at all. There is a lot of stuff outside of school you can do within your community. Many posters on these forums have some outstanding EC's that have absolutely nothing to do with school. Look around for some ideas.

More Ideas Please!
