I submitted my application to ECU. ECU is my DREAM school. What are my chances of getting in?
IN STATE
GPA unw/w: 2.58/3.58
SAT: 1640 (reading: 560 math:500)
Also mailed a letter of recommendation.
If anyone has any valuable input, it'd be greatly appreciated.
Hopeful Pirate.

I would say you have a solid chance, I have a neighbor that just recently got accepted and she has a similar GPA, but higher test scores. My daughter also got in with lower test scores but higher GPA (3.51/4.15). I think ECU looks at the total package and not just your scores/GPA. Good Luck!

I got in Early Admission Fall 2014 with a 1720 SAT score, 3.25/4.0 GPA. Both of my parents went to ECU but I don’t know if that has an effect on admission chances. I assume it does or else they wouldn’t ask on the application.

My application was completed January 23/24th 2014 and I was deferred about a week or so later. I’ve been keeping up to date with their system and was told, on March 6th 2014, that I would receive my final admission decision within a week. It is currently March 18th and I haven’t received anything. They told me to send my mid year report right after I was deferred (my gpa is over a 3.0) and I take a couple of challenging classes! I’m also an out of state student (Maryland) so, what do you think? Do you think they’re holding out because I was denied or because it takes longer for out of state students to hear back? ECU is my dreeeeaaaam school and I’ve been mentioning that to the admissions counselor I’ve been conversing with, I even put that it was my top choice on the actual application! Should I call the admissions office? Sorry this is so long haha!
