ED Acceptance rate for SEAS vs. CAS

Hey guys
I was just wondering what the difference between acceptance rates where for SEAS and CAS. I always thought that SEAS would be lower, but a friend of mine said that the acceptance rate for CAS was lower.
I'm going to be applying to Penn ED this fall.
and I hope to major in Bioengineering at SEAS.

From the numbers that I managed to dig up, SEAS acceptance rate is ~23% or so, while for CAS it is around ~16%.

Thus, admission rates for Penn are SEAS>SAS>Wharton. Dunno where nursing would fit in there.

Nursing would go before SEAS

Would that happen to be ED?

For the Class of 2014, the overall acceptance rate for Nursing was 20%:

[Nursing School admits 20 percent for 2014 | The Daily Pennsylvanian](http://www.thedp.com/article/nursing-school-admits-20-percent-2014)

whats the diff between CAS and SEAS?

CAS is your typical liberal arts education. You get a BA from the college of arts and sciences.
SEAS is an engineering school (School of Engineering and Applied Sciences). You come out of of there with a BS

Engineering school has higher rates, but the application pool is more self selective. Those who are applying are usually strong in math and science. So you can view it as although quite high, there is also more focused competition especially for the bioengineering major.
