ED Agreement Form

I'm planning on applying to pomona ed2. i've done everything except for the forms- which i'm assuming all should be filled out by my counselor, right? anyways, i was wondering if i have to send a printed out version of the ed agreement form even though i'm signing it on the commonapp? need to know asap because the deadline's coming up and i don't want the form to arrive late! thanks guys

I don’t think so.

Theoretically, it can be all done online. HOWEVER, the Common App will give that little green arrow to show that you have completed the app, even if the counselor doesn’t finish the online acknowledgement of your ED status (look closely at the counselor section). We know that from experience. For ED1, the admissions office downloaded all of the material from the Common App site within a day or 2 of the deadline, and sent emails to folks who were missing material. We were given a week to have the counselor fill out the hard copy and send it in.

thanks guys for the quick response!

sorry guys just to clarify… i don’t need to mail anything right (just fill out the commonapp + supplement)? my counselor has to do all the final forms, etc? and if my counselor does have to physically send in everything… if it’s a little late it won’t matter too much right? i’m guessing they won’t open my file immediately anyways…
sorry i sound so paranoid! i just want to make sure everything’s in order :p

The online Common App site does allow you to check whether your high school folks have done what they’re supposed to do. Just be sure to look closely. While admissions did allow at least some ED1s to submit missing material, don’t assume they’ll do the same for others, and don’t assume it won’t reflect on your application (but don’t assume it will, either :)). If you want real clarification, please call the folks at the admissions office. Most seem to be very friendly and helpful, and there’s probably a pretty good chance that they won’t trace your call…
