ED and EA?

Can someone apply to a school ED and another EA (granted it isnt single-choice EA)? Couldnt someone just reject admissions to the EA schools if they got into their ED school? Or can you just not do that?

It is very specific to the college. You have to read the fine print for every college that is involved and make sure that you are not violating anything anywhere. Some ED colleges will allow you to apply EA to other schools, and others won't.

(Don't apply ED if you also plan to apply for finanicial aid since you give up the ability to compare FA packages, and may be binding yourself to a very large payment.)

Yes there are schools that allow it, but don't ever assume so because you will be heavily penalized if they find out you violated the policy. But, Upenn for example, allows that.

Actually, most that have ED, allow you to apply EA elsewhere (except for single choice EA that Hartford, Stanford and Yale have which prevent from applying ED or EA elsewhere if you apply EA to one of them). But review the particular college's rules first, and all of the colleges publish their ED requirements on their websites and in the ED app itself which can be found on their websites.
