ED and EA

I was wondering whether it was possible to apply to two separate schools under both the EA and ED admission plans (UChicago and Wellesley).

If the EA isn't SC, MAYBE, depending on the ED's policies.

Wellesley's ED policy allows only application to Wellesley in the early round. You may apply to as many schools as you wish RD, or to rolling admissions schools. You may not apply EA or ED to any other school. If you are accepted, you are obligated to attend. Note that Wellesley also has something called Early Evaluation in which they review your app early and tell you whether you are likely to be a) accepted; b) rejected; or c) waitlisted in the RD round. These are not promises of acceptance. I believe Wellesley also has ED1 and ED2 options.

Does anyone know Columbia's policy? Do they allow you to apply to other schools EA if you're applying there ED?

Columbia is ED only. You may not apply to any other school EA or ED. You may apply to as many as you wish RD or rolling admissions.
