ED applicants: have you received anything?

I think I got a big brochure of some sort from NYU yesterday (I live in CA).. but I haven't applied yet. I'm relatively sure it's a routine mailing list thing, since they send me tons of mail.

Sorry, guys! Hoping for all of you. <3

I received the NYU News mailing today. However, according the NYU admissions department, such mailings are not a sign of acceptance/rejection. They send them out to everyone who is on their mailing list--which includes both those who have and haven't applied.

Today I got a largeish booklet all about Gallatin in the mail. I wouldn't have thought anything of it (NYU likes to bombard people with mail) except that they put UG above my name. Undergraduate?

I don't know. I don't like to read too much into these things...I just wish next week would comeeeeee!!!!!!

^

O_O i got everything but that T.T
wth i'm so paranoid!!!!!!!!!#$&(@^&#

Want to talk about paranoid? I just arbitrarily logged onto my application to view the PDF and saw that my personal statements were cut off despite the fact that I strictly adhered to the word count. I mean, I worked on the statements as if they were my last words before dying. Fun stuff. Now, I am freaking out because... well, I want to get in and NYU thinks I can't follow directions but their system is just screwed!!!

i just re-checked my application that i submitted quite a while ago (for ED), and i found that in 2 of my short answers the last few words were cut off. when i submitted it, i printed it and these words were on the print out. i didn't make any changes after printing it, so i am just going to hope that they weren't cut off when the nyu people printed my application off. :)

Well .... Tomorrow they mail out the decisions for ED. Good luck to all! We should be hearing soon. Maybe as early as Tuesday for some locals.

Good luck everyone!!

Question: If you apply ED, are you still considered for HEOP and GSP Programs?

I live on the shoreline of connecticut, about a 2 hour drive to NYC...will I hear tuesday you think???

I live in Cali ... when do you think i'll hear? hahaha. Hopefully around thursday / friday?

BIG/SMALL envelopes??? does anyone know if there is a corrolation b/w those who get in having big envelopes and those who get rejected having small ones??

In the past, acceptance letters generally come in a large envelope with many other handouts (e.g., financial aid, Net ID login). NYU admissions has recently answered this on their own message board.

Traditionally, offers of admission include a variety of informational materials for new students which is why they are sent in larger envelopes.

I'M SOOOOOOOO SCARED!!!!!!!!!! :(

me toooo! i feel like crying nonstop now. i can't go to bed, even though i have tests tomorrow. ugh!!

i hope that b/c i live close to nyu, i'll get the decision earlier... aaaah!!

i can't go to bed either. finals + waiting for NYU decision = insomnia. and maybe even paranoia.

I thought i was suffering insomnia b/c of school but waiting for the decision is worse... :( good luck w/ finals. and w/ the decision...

thanks. good luck to you too.

i have a feeling that when my letter arrives, i am going to put it on the kitchen counter and stare at it in horror for several hours. sort of like a mental duel... between myself and paper. i want to know the decision, but at the same time, it's terrifying!

which school did you apply to? i'm too lazy to research.
