The only thing that matters if you decide to apply ED is this:

ARE YOU SURE YOU WANT TO GO?

And isn't this the second or third Chances thread you've posted here?

YES

this is my 2nd, but my stats have been updated, and I didn't get much response, but I think I remember you helping out? so thanks

Depends, I've seen people from my school with MUCH better (USAMO, IchO, perfect SAT's, 4.0's) get deferred, eventually rejected. On the other hand, there's also "worse" applicants who did get in. It's all a crapshoot. You're probably more competitive than the average applicant, but depends heavily on your essay and EC"s + recc letters. It's hard to tell from a list how much they actually mean.

If you truly want to go to columbia college, apply early (RD acceptance rate is something like 6.5%)

i like your name! arctic monkeys are my favorite band. i'm seeing them live in september and can't wait.

i'm applying to columbia, possible ed, and i think you have a better shot than i do, if that helps.

I know it's off-topic, but...ARCTIC MONKEYS= THE BEST :D

If only those festivals weren't so rainy and full of mud. Oh well :)
