Hello,
I’m a student that has applied ED to Penn, submitted around Oct 20. As I live near a large city in a populated area, I’m fairly confident that there are a plethora of alumni that are available to interview me.
On Penn’s website, they’ve written that interviews would be offered from Mid October to the last week of November. It’s the last week of November, I live in a populated area, and all my friends applying have already recieved interviews.
Should I be nervous or concerned? I’ve already checked multiple times on my applicant portal to make sure everything’s been submitted. I’m considerig sending the Admissions Office an email, but their website tells students to be patient.
Any advice would be appreciated!
As mentioned many times on this forum, it doesn’t mean anything. They just don’t have enough people to interview everyone in a big city. ED interviews are over, and you won’t accomplish anything by contacting admissions. Good luck!
I live in a big city and had my interview last weekend. My interviewer said that the interview report was due on Nov 21, so unfortunately I think it is too late for them to contact you. I have friends who didn’t get interviews from their ED school so I wouldn’t worry!
The good news is that it won’t hurt you. The interview is worth very little to the decision, so you aren’t at any disadvantage.
Thank you for the responses! I was just nervous because all of my friends applying to Penn have had interviews haha. I won’t worry about it though— thanks!
Contact Admissions, and see what they say.
Please don’t bother admissions, we gave you the answer on this thread. They get a million people needlessly contacting about the same thing.
