I'm a rising senior.

GPA: 3.4 (big upward trend)
ACT: 30 (retake trying to get 32+)

My first choice school is WashU. I've done a campus tour and three, yes, three informations sessions (regional, high school, on campus), and I'm on their mailing list. One of my parents went there, so that makes me a legacy. As you can see, I've done as much as I can to show demonstrated interest. The thing is, from what I've heard, is that WashU doesn't take much consideration into legacies. Plus, they don't post their ED acceptance rate. I've heard it wasn't much better than their regular decision rate. Something like ~20%.

My second choice school, although it isn't far behind is Northwestern. I've gone to two information sessions and I'm on their mailing list. I live near Chicago, and it is really hard to get in to the school if you live near it; however, their ED acceptance rate as of last year is 37%.

I know I should do the "right" thing and apply to ED to WAshU, no matter the chances, but I'm still kind of undecided. I'm like to hear people's opinions.
