Hello,
I applied to BU regular in nov. and changed it to ED II around Jan. 1 when they offered it to me through email. I am really worried because I applied for Astronomy and i am now reconsidering my major (want to do history/anthropology instead) and I’m worried my math and sciences aren’t high enough to get accepted. Please tell me what my chances are, I’m really nervous
SAT: 770 RWE 670 Math; 1440 combined
GPA: 3.8
Forgot to add demo: I’m middle eastern (persian) but on college forms im just white. I’m first generation as my parents are both immigrants/first in family. I’m in the poetry club and gay straight alliance and did volunteer work at my public library. I’m also transgender (female to male) and my essay went over that as well as my culture and my ADHD. I built a computer last year and i wrote my honors college essay on that.
@sbrazavi You have a solid chance for BU. Very unique background, decent ECs, and a good GPA. What type of classes did you take? All honors and APs? Subject Tests? How were your recs? Also you can switch your major within CAS until like late sophomore year, worry about that later.
@ajfromma yes all honors/ap. took physics and math 2 subject tests (610 and 600) and my recs were w my ap physics teacher who liked me and an honors english teacher who loved me
@sbrazavi Good rigor then, and recs should work out. Your subject test scores are quite low, and your SAT is on their 25th percentile. This will have an impact on your decision.
