ED notifications- online, in the mail, phone call???

<p>Hi!</p>

<p>I'm an American citizen applying Williams ED from Europe, and I was talking to my counselor the other day and she said that the notification date for Williams is Dec 15, but we get out for the holidays on Dec 14. She said that often you can find out online by checking your app status, and she said that for some schools she can even call admissions and they will let her know if a student got in so they don't have to be in agony over break.</p>

<p>How does Williams do it? It takes 1-2 months for mail to reach us after it's sent from the states, and i am NOT waiting until mid Feb for my decision!!! :)</p>

<p>Last year it was by regular mail. A beautiful purple folder that says...(paraphase) chances that this big purple folder means what you think it means ...100%. Since it was regular mail it took 2-3 days to reach everyone depending on location. I do think I recall reading that foreign apps are contacted differently. You seem to be a hybrid case so you should talk to admissions.</p>
