This trimester I took a Calc II class at a local somewhat selective college during the first semester of the year. Its possible that I could get a D in the class. A few other students in my class also took it, and right now they both have Cs or Ds. If I get in A in every other one of my classes, could I get my offer rescinded? It wouldn't show up on my high school transcript, so I'm not sure if they would want me to send it or not.

If it’s not on your transcript, then don’t worry. If there’s any chance they might see it, call the admissions office and give them a heads up. They’ll appreciate the transparency.

I am wondering why you think this course’s transcript wouldn’t be seen by NU? They are supposed to receive transcripts from any school you attend. That being said, it sounds like you took this course to challenge yourself and it was a little over your head. I seriously doubt that NU would consider rescinding if this is your only bad grade.

elhefe, do you have a good relationship with your guidance counselor? Talk to her/him and follow their direction. FWIW, I don’t know a single case of an ED acceptance being rescinded for single grade. Especially since as you point out, you took this class to have a more challenging math option.
Enjoy your success!! You’ve earned it, and no one is going to want to take that away. Especially Northwestern. They were sure enough about you to want to lock you in.

I had a similar question in regards to rescission of an early decision admissions offer. I have nothing like senioritis (no slip in grades), however, after submitting my application I had to change from an AP level English Class to a regular level English Course. I am anticipating an overall A in the course, but will this switch in course difficulty be the reason for an offer of admission being revoked.

Are you sure? This was a recent realization of mine. I would deeply regret this being the reason of rescission. I did not have intentions of beguiling the admit office, but was something that changed post ed app being sent
