ED stats`

i visited NEU today and they gave is the mid 50% for their over all freshmen class but they didn’t have stats specifically from their students accepted through ED (like BU gave to us) so i was wondering if anyone knows what the mid 50% would be for ACT and GPA for an ED applicant

for example i was wondering in ED would help me

I am in all honors classes with an 88.5 three year average (82 freshman, 90 sop, 93.4 junior year) wondering if they will notice my overall upward trend and not just look at my overall average ( i had a tough freshman year with hurricane sandy and moving because of it)
got a 29 ACT (27 eng, 27 math, 28 science, 34 reading) am retaking for super score

1900 SAT (660 reading, 590 math, 650 writing) am retaking

thanks in advance

Hey - I’ll let someone else post our ED stats, since I do not know them and could not find them with a quick google search.

I can tell you with some confidence that applying ED will help you. At most schools, and Northeastern especially.

List of schools where applying ED does actually help: http://www.usnews.com/education/best-colleges/applying/applying-101/articles/2009/09/30/colleges-where-applying-early-action-helps

If you need any more help/info, feel free to PM me!

The waters are muddier with Northeastern than with some other schools as they have both ED and EA in addition to RD and the ED option is new (only one year old) so it is hard to determine a pattern yet with ED.

@julianstanley

Heads up, that list is EA, not ED.

With only one year of ED for NEU so far, I’m not sure if anyone knows if it really helps, even if there were stats. Sadly, it’s just too early.

@PengsPhils Thanks for the heads up. Seems logical that, if it helps to apply EA, it should also help to apply ED. Definitely a misread on my part, though - I forgot that ED just started last year.
