There are three people in my school applying to wesleyan. No one is applying to Pomona. What should i do?

Your magazine was named “Fuschia”? Surely you mean “Fuchsia”? And you’re editor? Editors are supposed to have extraordinary copy-editing skills, you know. If you’re going to make a laundry list of ECs, at least make them sound realistic.

(If your magazine was really named Fuschia, then I apologize)

ya it is named fuchsia. Why are the EC’s unrealistic…any chancing?

Unrealistic was incorrect. It’s a laundry list. Show me your passion. What makes you stand out from the crowd. Your GPA is fine, SAT II is fine. SAT I could be better and you have a whole bunch of ECs. But so do thousands of other candidates.
I’d say Pomona is a bit tougher to get into that Wesleyan, but I’m only judging by reputation. I can’t chance accurately though, I’m not experienced enough. You’ll have to wait for some of the more experienced members.

Your ECs don’t sound bad at all. An American with similar volunteer work and travel to poorer areas would present a very interesting candidacy. Maybe, because we think of international students as more “worldly”, we hold them to different standards? Anyway, the key here is whether you will need financial aid. Wesleyan is not need-blind for Intels. I’m not sure about Pomona. It means, you’re really competing for grant money and the chances are less than one in ten.

i dont need financial aid…i wouldnt mind any but there is no need
