rigor_col don't worry too much, just to keep you assured, my application reached MHC just a day before the deadline. Besides,I know of people who have got into great colleges and who submitted their application on the deadline. But its a good idea to send in your application early. You never know what happens on the last day!

HI, rigor_col, and everyone, not sure if you heard about the earthquake in Taiwan, it damages the submarine cable from china to usa, so, a lot of sites are dead now for me, even the common application. They are fixing it now, and sometimes i can get on CC or common with very slow speed, and they won't be fixed for WEEKS!!! This is really really........well but, I have already sent all my application to Mount Holyoke already.

sorry to not post here.......rigor_col, let's be strong , we will make it!

drsuyi I'm sorry to hear about the earthquake and network problems.

MHC takes some 3 days to reply to your emails. When the college is off, they don't reply at all. If you have sent complete application packet, that is not your problem. You may have to write to MHC admission office to get one student id (it calls ISIS account)--username and password. They will require some verification: your date of birth, full name, high school, and home address. As soon as they receive the verification and your request by email (or mail) you will be given your login id from where you'll be able to view what they've received and what've been missing.

You know what, the main question always haunt me is: whether they will consider my app. or not because I applied so lately. And, my ISIS has indicated that my application was received on Jan 3 and Jan 8 in finaid. But they had received my documents before the deadline!!!!!!!!!

Perplexed!!! Now I have found that my graded sample contained some spelling mistakes...ooops!

I should have spell checked, but mine was handwritten and "older". It was a high school exam essay!! When I looked at photocopy now in spare time I found couple of errors not even detected by the examiner! WHat do you think, is that a big deal or not?

i don't think it matters,don't worry rigor_col
i have grammar mistakes in my common essay and writing sample, i was so worried just as you are, but see? i was admitted~
so what really matters is the content and your writing ability
one or two mistakes won't break your application~
good luck!
