EDers with LOW SATs

random tangent....

gift --> it's almost christmas!!
"it happened for a reason." --> anyone else believe in fate??

^_^

i believe in it somewhat.

even as a recruit im not guaranteed to get in. but im not gonna mope about penn not wanting me if i get rejected. ill go to another place id be happy to attend.

well actually i believe in it, not just somewhat. but thats my opinion. and i respect anyone elses too.

jw, cdeitz, recruit for what??

i believe in a kind of fate too. i believe that people are at a point A and are destined/fated to get to a point B, but the way to get there depends on the person. (did any of that make sense? lol)

yeah totally....i believe that too...when i said somewhat...i was thinking that...well not every move is planned out....but when i changed my mind...i was thinking what you were thinking....that eventually we'll get to point B. From point A to B there is a straight line...but even if we sway from the line, we'll eventually get there. (if that makes sense)

oh and a recruit for swimming

haha, yea that makes sense ^^ glad what i said made sense too haha. but i think of the path from A to B more as a squiggly (sp?? lol) line (yea, i kno the defn of line is straight...lol) it's the rare person who travels a straight path from A to B lol (^^)

hahaha i totally agree...no one follows that path....like me im all over im sure of it....but ill get there

swimming 0_0 i think i'm hydrophobic or something lol - you can't get me near a pool or the ocean lol

ahh the ocean how i miss the beach. so youre telling me you dont like pools or anything at all....thats crazy

haha, it's cuz i had bad experiences when i was little. too many times where i almost drowned...so by the time i got swimming lessons, i was already scared of the pool/swimming lol. the ocean is beautiful to look at, but i'll never swim in it lol

how bout like up to your knees in the ocean

whats up people, just saw harry potter (worst movie ever btw). and kliuless I applied to the SEAS. quite honestly, i didnt want to go to wharton...penn's campus is mainly what drew me to applying to their SEAS school (plus it seems like its going to become really good in the next couple years)

^wow. someone really didn't like HP? (I don't plan on seeing it just haven't heard any negativity about it yet)

i thought it was good

yea i was set on hyp until sophmore year, when i visited harvard and was like "this is it?" In all honesty, prestige can suck my dick. its not where you go but what you learn and I felt that i could learn the most at Penn (thanks to both the great faculty and the awesome students). As i said in my essay "collaboration is key and penn is the gateway"

i haven't seen it yet! i want to tho...

cdeitz - yea, i can go up to my knees in water. once the water gets to around my waist though, i kinda freak lol. when i was little and on a beach in thailand, the water almost swept me away >_<

I thought the movie was pretty good...

But it seemed that the director tried to rush too many scenes... For example, they didn't give enough justice to the Quidditch Cup or the last scene between Harry & Voldemorte.

I heard the last five minutes wasn't very good. My friend said they pretty much didn't pay enough attention to it :p

was it just me or did they change like everything in the movie, nothing went according to the book (unless i forgot what happened)
