Yeah, I’m in Washington, so priority mail would probably come tomorrow if it were sent Friday.
And speaking of the wait until April killing… I’m pretty sure the wait until TOMORROW is going to kill me.

pomona is a huge reach for me so i don’t know if i’ll be too bummed out if i get rejected because i’m already sort of expecting it.

I’m expecting a rejection too… but I’ve unfortunately let myself fall in love with Pomona, so I probably will be pretty upset.
Good luck to everybody!

Where from Washingon are you Kosmosonic? I lived in Kirkland for a couple years and Sammammish for 4 years.

I’m up in the San Juan Islands!

We used to vacation up there! Anyway, good luck to everyone expecting decisions this week!

the worst part for me is knowing immediately if you’re in or not just based on the size of the envelope so right when you open up the mailbox you’ll know

I live in the Los Angeles area, very close to Claremont, and I got my acceptance yesterday! So excited!

Good luck to all of you!

Edit;; if you’d like to hear stats, let me know. And I didn’t get an email either.

if you don’t mind disclosing, firstfeathers, about how far away from claremont do you live? i’m about an hour out in LA. i’m trying to see if priority mail would take 2 days to get to where i am, which i probably shouldn’t because it’s making me more nervous…

p0monoahopeful - you’ll hear by snail mail (priority if an acceptance). E-mails go only to those who are international applicants.

And ED applicants can be deferred or declined outright.

Good luck, all!

Nothing in the mail today :(

Received a letter from the Office of Admissions today… I was accepted!!! oh my GOD.

Hopefully everybody else waiting will get something soon!

I’m from Wisconsin, if that gives people any indication of when they might receive their letters. :)

About an hour and half to two hours. I wish you luck!!

rejected…can’t say i didn’t see it coming although i’m a little mad that i was flat out rejected and not deferred

Accepted! 35 ACT, Questbridge applicant, will finish 18/232 (was 25/232 at time of application). So happy; only regret is I’ll never know if I could have gotten in to Columbia!

@littlemother Thanks for the reply, I actually am an international applicant, does this mean I have to wait until the 15th earliest?

For others who got deferred, did Pomona write a letter suggesting you call admission to find out some pointers about your application?

p0monahopeful,

You should be getting an e-mail shortly, I would think.

Accepted!!! 34 ACT, Valedictorian

I’m ecstatic!!!

@littlemother Does the email apply to Chinese students as well? I’ve got a friend applying for ED1 and hasn’t got her snail mail till now (though she later called and learned she was deferred)

Just try hard to keep my fingers crossed. Hope I can return home and see FedEx waiting at the door!
