<p>I'm currently a Freshman at the University of Edinburgh in Edinburgh, Scotland.</p>

<p>I'm looking to explore transfer options for Fall 06. Here are my basic stats</p>

<p>SAT (taken in Dec of '04)
M:740
V:720</p>

<p>SAT II's
American History:690
Writing:720</p>

<p>HS GPA: 3.2/4.0 (by far weakest part of my application)
AP's taken:4 (English and History*2)
EC's: Various sports and clubs (Nothing amazing but lots of variety)</p>

<p>College GPA: Likely will be straight A's. Work is very easy.</p>

<p>Activities: 3 or 4 clubs and sports teams of interest</p>

<p>How much will my applying from Edinburgh help my chances? I'm looking at top of the line schools across the board. Also I can apply as a Hispanic Minority. </p>

<p>Finally, my father graduated from Harvard Undergraduate and also Harvard Business. Might I have a shot there?</p>

<p>I was actually looking into transferring from an American university to Edinburgh. If you don't mind my asking, why do you want to transfer out?</p>

<p>I'm lookin to transfer from Uni of Glasgow actually. I'm not going for quite as rigourous schools as you though (BU, Miami, Ohio State). I'm also probably going to apply for January Admission. I would assume coming from abroad would make you look a lot more interesting, especially if you have some nice stuff to say about it in an essay or something. Are you from scotland originally?</p>
