Hi! I'm an American student applying to the University of Edinburgh and I have a couple questions that maybe somebody knows the answer to.

1) Are my scores good enough? I want to go into International Relations or Politics.
SAT: 2160- 750 Critical Reading, 720 Math, 690 Writing (taking them again in a week to try and get my writing score up)
APs: 5 in AP Euro, 5 in AP Lang/Comp, and 5 in AP US History
SAT II's: 790 in US History, 770 in Bio-E, 630 in French, and 670 in Math I (Should I only submit the History one seeing as though it's relevant to what I want to study?)
I got all A's Junior year but there are a couple B's sprinkled in during my Freshman and Sophomore years.

2) Is the personal reference hard? I have an idea of what I want to write about but I'm kinda freaked out. I looked at a Common App essay I wrote and it was like 9000 characters, so 4000 (the limit for the UCAS app) seems pretty compact.

3) If there's anyone out there that goes to Edinburgh, what is it like? I have visited the city and actually even the dorms, but it was summer time so there were no students.

Thanks!
