"Education Interruption" section?

“Please indicate if your progression through secondary school was or will be delayed or interrupted in any way.”

I chose “Did or will change secondary schools” and wrote that I moved high schools over the summer, but this didn’t seem like anything significant enough to mention. I also already indicated that I changed schools because I filled out the “Other School” section. So is it still necessary that I tell them about this in the Education Interruption part?

Also, I took a couple weeks off school after the death of one of my siblings, so should I check “Did or will take time off”? My attendance is on my transcripts, so is this something I should explain? Or do colleges not bother to check attendance?

Thank you!

@ju89yeon I do not believe either of these circumstances is a delay or interruption. The question is intended for situations where a student may have, for example, been hospitalized and unable to begin the school year on time or became hospitalized mid-year causing an interruption. You do not need to list a move or an absence of a couple of weeks as a delay/ interruption.

@paveyourpath Thank you very much!
