<p>Is anyone completing the teacher certification program that Wellesley offers (or if you're alum, were you involved in the program?). What are your thoughts on the program and the department? Did you have sufficient fieldwork time? For alums - was it relatively easy to get a job as a teacher after graduation if all your credentials were in order?</p>

<p>I'm thinking about majoring in linguistics and minoring in elementary education, and this way I could get certified as an elementary teacher. Does this sound like a good match? Thanks!</p>

<p>I have a good friend who got certified as a math teacher, class of 08. She was not a mathematics majors. I don't know all the details of what she did, but she will be teaching at the same place she did her field work, Wellesley Middle School come this fall. She was the second choice for the position, and they didn't like the sample lesson from the first choice.</p>
