<p>Prof. Rabaey is teaching it this term, and it's a known fact that he grades hard (2.8 class average in EE 105) and assigns a lot of work (4 out of 5 for "heavy workload" on HKN surveys)</p>
<p>How was Prof. Alon last fall? Does anyone know his grading distribution, as it hasn't yet been posted on Pick-A-Prof? He'll be teaching again next fall, so I'm thinking about whether to defer taking this class until then.</p>
<p>(In response to any possible replies that "EECS class averages are supposed to be within 2.7-2.9" and "it's supposed to be tough," the Pick-A-Prof numbers show a very wide range of grading distributions. Those are just guidelines, and professors do not have to follow them. Workloads also vary widely between different instructors teaching the same class.)</p>
