Is there a way to see your EFC before you get a college acceptance and financial aid package? I saw one poster say what FAFSA determined their EFC to be but I haven’t seen any of that in our case.

If you’re asking specifically about the FAFSA EFC, yes. The FAFSA EFC is reported on the SAR (Student Aid Report), which is available electronically after the FAFSA is processed. You should receive notice via email.
If you’re asking about a college-specific EFC that is calculated by a school’s financial aid office to be used in awarding institutional funds, no.

That is only the FAFSA EFC though. Many schools that give generous aid calculate their own EFCs, and use the same term, EFC, so it makes it very confusing. If you are expecting financial aid from the school, don’t count on it being awarded from the federal EFC.
