just a quick question...have any of you guys ever been sick on a test day and then improved significantly? or vice versa, got a great score and then did worse when you were sick?

I took the sat in oct '07 when I was on heavy duty painkillers (really make me feel woozy-and that was the first time I had taken them)...how much do you think I can expect my scores to go up? (I got a 2120-800 CR, 640 M, 680 W)

I have gotten really sick (sinus-y, cough, headache) when I took standardized tests both times this year (the PSAT and the ACT) and saw a huge increase in my scores.

However, I had also spent about 3 weeks before each test carefully studying and taking practice tests, so I think that's what did it.

If you study enough, no matter how sick or well you are, you will improve.

Plus, you're likely to improve anyway since you're taking it a second time.

I got a 1210 on my test when I was sick as opposed to a 1450 when I was healthy (superscore). But, I got a 700 on Writing (something I had been practising for the enitre summer). Before that, my score was a 550 in Writing, lol.

I think it's hard to determine what your score would be though. Do you feel as though being sick affected your performance??
