I read in the dailypennsylvanian about plans to initiate the pilot curriculum (or at least something that resembles it) for new students starting with the class of 2010.
Under the proposition, AP credit will no longer be used to get rid of General Requirements. Can somebody tell me what AP scores will then still be “useful?” (For Wharton students requirements, if it matters)

The pilot curriculum applies to College students, not Wharton students. I don't think they'll be abolishing AP credit any time soon. Maybe if the other ivies (or at least HYP) do it first...

for the college kids who want this question answered, i assume that by abolishing AP credit for general requirements, penn will still allow you to use APs towards your major. i came into penn with APs in bio, chem, calc, and stats (to name a few), and they're being counted towards by bio major. these are not general requirements.
