What is it? It says it introduces students to all the fields of engineering at Duke... but what does that mean?

How much time does it take up in the class schedule and is it worth it?

I think it's like a seminar where they bring in people from different fields and give presentations on what they do and stuff like that. It's one day a week for like 1-1.5 hrs.

Edit: It might also be pass/fail.

This Fall, there will also be selected hands-on work. SBR's summary is correct - the idea is that the course is split into about five parts - one for each of the four departments, and the remainder to general items such as student groups, research opportunities, etc.

from what I've heard from my friends who took it 2 years ago ... it's a complete joke ... (I couldn't take it b/c I had a schedule conflict with Chem 23 Lab I recall) ... but it is a helpful seminar for the students who take it seriously
