EGR 53L components

i'm a bit confused

i guess, since i'm an engineering i have to take ENG 53L, but do i also have to get EGR 53L9 and 53R as well??

also for math 32L.. do i have to get one with Lab or can i just get 32??

thanks.

Yes for EGR 53L u have to take the lab and recitation as well.. otherwise you wouldnt get to have fun with the professor in the lab... yay.. right

You can either sign up for math 32L, which has a lab, or math 32, which doesnt have a lab...

I think I am going to take the course without a lab, and not because it has less work (they are supposed to have equal work outside of class) but because it is only 3 days a week instead of 4, this works better into my overall schedule.

hope this helps

For what its worth, the EGR recitation is pretty much a joke and nothing to worry about and the lab typically only lasts 30 min to an hour. They pretty much just give you the lab assignment that is due the next week and you can stay there and work on it if you want or just leave.

that is sweet! thanks for the heads up!!

can anyone confirm about difference between Math 32L and 32 (for engineers)??

what's advatnages for each class? (i mean..duh i wanna take fewer classes~)

math 32L has a lab... 32 doesnt, simple as that. The total work is supposed to be equal. 32L has a concentration on group/team work.... while 32 is your traditional calculus class. I picked 32 because it fits better into my schedule.

EGR53 labs vary from the beginning and end of semester.

At the beginning, you go to the computer lab and receive the assignment due for next week. (attendance is not taken)

Towards the end, you need to perform some hands on experiment in the newly constructed lab room. (attendance is taken)

so an engineering major can take a calc without a lab? (a courseplan listed 32L)

i hope so! lol i'll research that a bit

Mathematics (5)
This requirement is met by completing Mathematics 31, 32, 103, 107 and 108.

Doesnt say 31L and 32L so im assuming..

hey thanks for info!

do we get seperate grades for lab classes (31L Lab, 53R, etc)??
and that grades will get into GPA as well ??

No, you dont get separate grades for the lab and recitation components.

so um.. there is no grade for lab / recitation components??
or are they combined with a lec class grade??

you get one grade.. because it IS just one class
