hey guys:

I would like to know more about this college. Does anyone have some kind of info about its college life, and interaction with other colleges in UCSD?

Also I would like to see some Fellow ERC acceptees introduce themselves. Since it looks like all the colleges have been talked about cept for this one.

Me-> azn, socal, 1500, 800, 800, 650, College of Letters and Sciences?

I'm most likely going to ERC with cognitive science as my major. I would like to know more about this college as well.

Revelle major: human bio REVELLE haah we'll probably see each other.

Lol is it just me or is their just tot that many people going to erc

lol, I haven't heard of that many people that go to ERC either.

hm... if ERC is really that unpopular maybe I am better off attending Berkeley or something. people talk!

If you got into Berkeley, GO THERE!

I'm in ERC, too! Communications (though if I go, it'll most likely change... or I'll double major)

Yeah, it doesn't seem like too many people on this forum are going to ERC, but I think it sounds pretty great. From what I've heard, because ERC focuses on international/cultural studies, there's a lot of diversity within the college. The majority of people at ERC are women, so if you're a guy, well, you're in luck. [Supposedly, it has the most attractive people on campus, too... haha] What else do I know?... hmm... the rooms are supposed to be nice because they've been remodeled recently, and it has the best food. Oh, and it's right by the gym for those who like to work out.

Hope that helps!

damn that sounds nice, haha the women is a plus too lol

hm... from what i see on the map, ERC seems to be really far away from everything. -> its the top left hand side of the campus. Anyone in ERC right now know if its that bad?

I'm a freshman at ERC. Yes, it's located at the north end of campus, but is also closest to the beach and the gym. I don't think that the distance is a problem; I walk everywhere. You're not going to find better dorms in any of the other colleges, or other universities for that matter. They are brand new (2 years), and the rooms are pretty big. Each 'suite' has 6 rooms centered around a huge furnished common area. Actually, my suite is going to be 'open' on admit day. I think that the ERC people try really hard to get everyone involved..every week there are fun 'study breaks', and they offer free paper editing for MMW. MMW is the general education sequence for ERC, which is kind of annoying.

I really, really like UCSD and ERC, but don't want to go on and on. If you guys have any questions, I'd be happy to answer them. Come to admit day.
