Eleanor Roosevelt College!

I'm not 100% positive about this, but I do believe that freshman are not allowed to have a car on campus. The policy is most likely on the web-site.

I found a bit of information on parking rates, but it was unclear as to whether or not freshman could pay for a parking permit.

Thank you so much for this post. I am headed to ERC in sept and trying to figure out whether its right or not for sure. as far as the requirements go, the MMW sounds exactly like it is what I am most interested in, so I figure I should go after exactly what I want academically, and then piece together all of the other stuff (the social situation everyone is worried about, too many girls, etc) once I get there. but, you really solidified my ideas about why I should be there, and the reasons I want to go there are all the right reasons. a little bit of emotional growth creating real connections and communities will be good too I think. My sister is a third year right now, and is in Muir, originally I kind of freaked that ERC would be, well, that one thing about the people at ERC being those girls in high school that would never have dates, but stereotypes only cover a portion of people. I mean we're all human right? I figure there are enough treasures to find to make it worthwhile. I basically, was worried about the "too studious" atmosphere at UCSD and ERC in particular, but studious people have feelings too, everybody can relate about something. I guess that being scared of not being handed a bunch of friends who seem like you is no reason to shy away from going to what seems like such an incredible academic opportunity. Anyways, I'll be there, and whoever goes there too, I have complete belief that we will make the best of it and get out what we put in.
By the way I am an International Studies-History major right now, very excited about all of the cultural and global perspectives that ERC has to offer. But thanks for the perspective it was very helpful :)

P.S. I meant ucsdisway1337's stuff about ERC in general. sorry to not specify.

im goin to erc. freakn right nexta rimac :0

Whoa, whoa, whoa, theoceanside, I'm an International Studies-history major too! Coolness. I'm thinking about maybe switching it to sociology though, or maybe making soc my secondary track.

very cool. there seem to be a lot of secondary tracks to take with I.Studies. which is good. variety is always good. but thats very exciting, I'm definitely looking forward to being in that globally-aware atmosphere.

hello,i’m a college student, I recently got the offer of Econ major from UCSD, and I’m just wondering if it is hard to study Econ classes and writting classes in the Eleanor Roosevelt college? My friend told me the writting classes are really tough and even suggest me to attend uc Irvine…that freaked me out but I don’t know if he is right… Could you please tell me your feeling about that?
