Hello. I am a senior in electrical engineering at the University of St. Thomas and am considering where to apply to graduate school and what places I could get into if I did. I have a 3.4 GPA overall and about a 3.7 GPA in my engineering classes. I have not taken the GRE yet. I have, however been doing research for a professor at my school since I was a sophomore and have gotten on a lot of great projects that are usually reserved for grad students. I have also taken two graduate classes as part of my undergraduate studies. This professor has offered to use his contacts to help me get in touch with professors at different universities to hopefully get a RA position. I looked online and it seems that Purdue is a very good school. What are my chances of getting into Purdue, University of Minnesota Twin Cities, and Johns Hopkins with my GPA. Also, are grad schools concerned with you Engineering GPA or your cumulative GPA? Also, what other good schools would accept candidates in the GPA range that I discussed previously?
