Elite Prep vs Compass Prep

Here's my problem:
I'm doing 2 internships at UCLA this summer and they add up to a bit more than a full time job.
And I need to do SAT prep. So please help me decide which program to do (I got a 1910 - I want at least a 2200 - on an SAT CB practice test):

Elite Prep:
Saturdays only, about 7 hours of lessons, not including one practice SAT a week for 15 weeks. 30 minute commute each way, about 2-3 hours of homework a night (every day of the week), many of my friends have done it and raised their scores 300+ points. The classes are in classroom format and the class is designed to raise you to a 2100 minimum (you must take a test to qualify for the class, which I passed). So it should work. But it's a lot of work.

Compass Prep:
Any day of the week, private tutoring for 1.5 hours per week. 15 lessons total. A different tutor for math and english. 2-3 hours of homework in between lessons, only 4 (he said maybe 6) practice tests. They said it would raise my score 200 points, and maybe 300 if I'm motivated. And I don't know anyone who has done this. So I have no idea if it works. But Compass did run a PSAT prep program at my old school (I didn't go to the program), and kids said it was horrible. But that was a classroom situation, not one-on-one. And I had a compass tutor to help with my Math Level 2 subject test, but I don't really know how much he helped - it's hard to tell (I took a sparknotes test before/after and got the same score)

So what do you think? Compass is a lot less work, but I don't know if it will raise my score enough. Opinions?
Thanks!

if you're going to be at UCLA you might as well get tutored there
UCLA students tutor you one-on-one for the SAT. it's great, I am going there right now and it raised my score 300+
I recommend it to everyone in the LA area

But what was your original score? Because it's pretty easy to go from a 1500 to 1800, but pretty hard to go from a 2000 (or 1900 in my case) to 2300.

Thanks!

Icinnamon,
So, now 7 years passed. I have the same question you had. What do you recommend?

Someone must close this thread. The person last time who was here was in 2009.

Agree

icinammon,
So did you go to ELITE? What was your final SAT score?

Honestly, the hard part of the SAT is not the questions itself; rather, its the length of the exam. That’s what Elite mainly prepares you to do.

^I would think that there are plenty of ways to get used to the length of the exam without spending any money
