Thank you, DiotimaDM.
What letter?
Good luck, everyone!
@ambkeegan The email people received back in January telling them they advanced. It listed March 2 as the notification date for the next round.
I’m so excited I can’t wait hahah can’t believe March 2nd is just around the corner!
While we wait, what’s everyone planning to major in, and what schools are you looking at?
S is planning to major in Emergency Medical Services with a theatre minor. He’s also premed. If he switches things around a bit, he could double major in theatre. He’ll be attending University of New Mexico in Albuquerque.
For anyone else who’s thinking about premed, there’s an Elks med school scholarship that’s only for students who were MVS national finalists, first. Link: https://www.elks.org/scholars/scholarships/MedicalSchoolScholarship.cfm
I’m planning to major in computer science and I’m looking at a lot of different schools… I’m still trying to decide which school would be best money-wise and everything. but georgia tech is top
I’m majoring in Psychology!
I applied to 8 schools, two safeties, three matches, and three reaches.
Safeties: Stonybrook and Suny Genseo
Matches: Clark University, Umass Amherst and Brandeis
Reaches: NYU, Columbia and Harvard
I got into early decision with Clark with the 60k scholarship and the 45k scholarship at Umass Amherst!!
Columbia is my dream school!
A friend of mine received a local email recently that he is one of the 10 Texas finalists
Awesome! Congrats to your friend!
@DiotimaDM I am headed to Wake Forest with a double major in Theatre and … something else that I will add along the way (not sure!)
@DiotimaDM I’m majoring in Engineering. I got into Georgia Tech but it’s gonna be way too expensive for me out of state (~$50k) so I’ll probably end up at South Carolina where I’m getting a lot of merit money, unless Harvard’s AO’s get drunk and accept me lol.
@reppinthe803 Same with South Carolina! Did you get into the Honors College/Top Scholars?
Hey, I’m all for drunken acceptances.
@lesjubilants No I didn’t apply. I didn’t feel honors college was worth paying an extra $600 a semester. Not really much it offers that an outgoing regular student can do themselves.
I’m planning on majoring in European Studies or International Studies and History. Here are the schools I’m genuinely considering. Money is a major factor though.
UNC Chapel Hill, UofSC Honors College, McGill, Harvard, Brown, Yale, Duke, Vanderbilt, Lehigh’
Does anyone know when we hear back about the next round?
Hey, I’m all for drunken acceptances.
We’re supposed to hear back by March 2, Friday. Remember to check your spam filters and the ISTS portal.
D accepted ED at Lafayette College; psych major
My son will be studying finance at Clemson.
