Email Confirmation

I sent out my essays, the parent statement etc. to Exeter on time, but I have not received confirmation of receipt for anything but the recommendations. Does Exeter isually send an email confirming they received application pieces?

On another note, if an applicant contacts a coach or music director but doesn’t hear back, how would you interpret it? Especially if said applicant has heard back from other schools’ coaches/music directors?

Thanks!

We did not get any response from the coaches listed on the websites for two schools. It turned out when we visited that one coach was off campus for the year and a temporary person was filling in for the season. At the other school, the coach was still teaching, but no longer coaching that sport and no replacement had been hired yet.
You may want to reach out to the admissions office and verify that the contact information for the coaches or music directors is current.

I’ll make sure to do that. Thanks @siliconvalleymom!

I don’t think I remember receiving any confirmation by email for submitting my application materials. I think I just checked their status on my lionlinks account. Also, I emailed one of the coaches/music directors during my application process and they did respond, after a while. Maybe they are just overwhelmed currently from all the emails that they’re getting from applicants, but it would be definitely helpful to reach out to the admissions office as suggested by @siliconvalleymom
