I’m planning on applying to some upper and ivy league schools and basically I have to take all my SAT Subject Tests (3) on the December test date (I know I’m stupid). ANYWAYS, I’m definitely going to take U.S History but I’m a little confused on what others I should do. I’ve never taken a pre calculus class because I went from Algebra II Honors in high school to College Algebra in dual enrollment. I’ve read that good schools won’t take Math I scores seriously, but Wharton wants me to take a math subject test I think. Should I absolutely cram for Math II or is Math I okay? ALSO, should I take literature or world history? Are they “doable” in this time frame? What are the easiest subject tests to study/get a high score on that aren’t languages? Help!
Wharton wants Math II specifically I believe, but don’t take it and do poorly. In general, if you’re a decent math student then the Math II exam is a breeze.
Take the ones you think you can do best in. If you are applying to a major in Econ or Math or Science, you’ll need Math II.
My understanding is the difference between Math 1 and 2 is there is more advanced math in 2. If you take math 1, there are more questions drilling down on the topics they cover. With math 2, more topics to cover so less questions per topic. If you are applying to Wharton, other ivies and any selective school, generally, they want to see Math 2. They list both but it’s dependent on major. You are looking at Wharton you definitely need math 2 to be competitive. As well as having taken advanced math courses. You have not taken math beyond Alg? Get cramming, 3 subj tests is a lot to prepare for but just spend your time locked in a room studying for the next couple of weeks.
take math 2. math 1 really isn’t worth much
