I've only took SAT1 once, got bad score of 1960, 740 CR, 690M, 530W.

I need to take SAT2 too. Didn't realize until just that october and nov has been full booked, no seats left. Left with dec. Should I just take SAT2 in dec and try jan for SAT1 again and hope the scores reach in time? I'm applying to cornell and amherst college, so you see why my current SAT1 scores don't cut it at all. If it matters, I'm planning to take math l2, chem and literature for the subj tests, will this help to balance out the currently horrific Writing score and below average math score?? I'm aiming and probably will get close to 800 for them.

If you submit ACT, no SAT2 tests are required by Amherst. Also depending on which school you’re applying to at Cornell, SAT2 may also be unnecessary.

Consider mixes that include an early sit of the ACT.

Did you look at other testing sites in addition to your regular one? My D registered too late for her own local test site (all seats were full) but found seats available at other test sites further away.

I’m looking at the option of taking ACT instead now because there are still some centres available, thank you for for the heads up! I’m not from the US so I didn’t realize there was another option! And yup I looked at all the test centres, there’s one supposedly available for oct but everytime I try to submit a popup appears that says there are actually no seats available. I’m assuming it’s a glitch so I think I’ll just go ahead with taking ACT. Thanks so much!!
