Emma Watson to Attend Brown University

I wonder if Brown will assign her a roommate randomly or give her special consideration.

Whoever the girl is, she’s in for a huge spazz-fest when she gets her housing info.

No you’re completely correct. Nevertheless that is exactly what I plan to do.

Btw that Paste article was ridiculous. I used to read that magazine and it was pretty good. Now they’re flat out making up entire interviews??? The hell?
Quoth “emma watson”: “I am—to Brown, which is an Ivy League establishment in the U.S.A. I’ve got a place there to read literature.”

An “ivy league establishment” lol is this magazine british or something??

She doesn’t have a place there to read literature. No one has a place there to do anything. Her express reason for going to a college in America was for the liberal arts education I think.

Btw in case there’s any doubt, she’s definitely going to Brown, and definitely has not leaked it yet. On all those talk shows that someone mentioned above the topic came up and she always said that she was keeping it private.
Except on one the interviewer asked her if she was going to school in New York City and she said something like “No, well… ahh, oops. It’s a secret, but I keep giving out little hints by accident” or something. So she’s definitely not going to Columbia. And obviously Radcliffe and that director dude already said that she was going to Brown.

Honestly, I wish people would lay off about her college decision. It’s cool that a celebrity is coming, but chances are, plenty of us won’t ever see her. I have friends who go to colleges of similar sizes alongside celebrities and famous people, and unless they’re friends, they rarely run into them. There are just too many people at the school.

She wants her space. There will always be hype because she’s Emma Watson, and people will be pretty excited because HBP just came out, but I think it’s the least we can do just to let her be, enjoy college, and have a life.

i heard she’s either attending columbia or nyu.

Emma said straightout in an interview on the Today Show that she wasn’t going to school in NYC.

If she goes to a school in NYC, that’s just going to be totally crazy. Like she can’t go anywhere without being noticed.

she is definitely goin to columbia

Not only is the topic of this thread ridiculous, but the matter has long been settled.

To the person who used a Perez Hilton source for determining the contrafactual statement that she will be going to Columbia: is you mental?

perez hilton is going to columbia next year.

**** you, Brown.

Sincerely,
Columbia Class of 2013

^ derf… show a little bit more class and don’t use the entire Columbia class of 2013’s name to make asinine comments. Brown is a terrific university and in any case… I doubt most people would be able to meet her/become friends with her… so you should celebrate her choosing a great institution like Brown instead of acting out because she’s not going to our university. It’s probably like 99% sure she’s going to brown, but lsxx47 or whatever (sorry, I forgot your sn), she did not say anything about Columbia or new york city on the today show interview or in any other interview. She’s never made any comments that would be helpful in determining where she’s going.

Oh bawwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. The Internet is srs business. Need me to call a whaaaaaaaaambulance?

okay, i’ll send you guys the link. watch this youtube video.
[YouTube - Emma Watson Early Show](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KDuGRvLQFJ4)
sorry, it’s actually the Early Show. watch the last minute.
Interviewer: Are you going to school in NYC?
Emma: No.

Oh, I watched that interview the other day, ls47xx! It does sound like she’s confirming that she won’t be attending Columbia, but either way, it doesn’t really matter. I just hope she’s happy wherever she’s decided to go, whether it’s Brown or another university, and that people don’t try to stalk her with their cameras while she’s settling in (or at any other time, but especially then). I think everyone should just let her have as normal of an experience as possible and introduce yourself should an appropriate time for that present itself.

she is 100% going to Brown she’s dating one of my stepbrothers old roomates.

Why’d she say end of August?
Brown orientation is September 5th…?
The earliest move in date is August 30th for the Excellence at Brown program-- all the other pre-orientation programs start in September.
Hmm.

Haha, I would so laugh if she ended up going to some random college that no one expected.

She being an international student might want to come in early and hang out with her parents for a bit in Boston or Providence.

Boston > Providence

One more reason why she chose Brown over Columbia. Because of some of the people’s inability to accept other people’s decision.
