I'm a bit confused about a couple things. Emory doesn't ask to declare a major until the end of sophomore year, so what about the major they accepted you under? I've decided I don't want to pursue the major I originally applied to on the application, and would like to switch.
Also, are the first two years mainly for getting GERs and basics out of the way, and you take NO classes pertaining to your major?

The major on your application is in no way binding and you have no major until you actually declare it.

You can take the GERs whenever you want. I spread them out so I could take major classes starting the first year. I took maybe one each semester along with other classes I wanted.
