Does the social life totally revolve around frat parties? I understand that only one third of the students are formally affiliated and blah blah blah but honestly, what else is there to do? I feel like all the girls I know there are always either drinking or hooking up with guys, moreso than at any other school. Can anyone give me the details?

Separate issue. I go to a small private school in NJ where I take a dual curriculum in both secular and judaic studies. I am in 10 honors/AP classes and one regular class. My GPA has risen from an 88 freshman year, 92 soph year, and about a 94.5 junior year. I got a 207 on my PSAT, a 780 on writing, 700 on reading, 650 on math. I got a 650 on bio sat 2 and plan to take more this weekend. I am taking 2 AP tests this year and 4 AP classes next year. I am involved in plenty of ECs. Only 1 or 2 kids apply from my school each year, chances?

sorry to clarify that’s a 2130 on actual SAT

You’re in okay shape. To get you in good shape, you should try to increase your SAT and you should definitely show a lot in interest in Emory. Keep up your grades.

Also, I wouldn’t say it revolves around frat parties. Come down for a weekend to see it for yourself.

Frats are pretty large from what I’ve heard, but if it’s not your scene there’s practically everything else. ATL city is right next to Emory, and there are a significant amount of gatherings: the school itself is very activist. I know Goizueta students have a beer kegs for students of the Goizueta school, and there are tons of organizational groups.

Yes you’re in okay shape like emoryhelp said. I wouldn’t be surprised if you got in, but also I wouldn’t be surprised if you were rejected. There are things you can do to improve your chances, and you really should do them if you actually like the school, like improve your grades/scores and show interest.
