Due to technical difficulties, we are unable to release decisions for Regular Decision applicants at this time. Decisions for Regular Decision applicants will be available online through the OPUS system, and will be posted on Monday, March 30th after 6:00 pm (EST).

what i dont understand is how can they have technical difficulties when emory was able to release the results from the URMs last weekend. also if they have technical difficulties, why are they waiting til monday to release results. why cant they release the results as soon as the technical difficulties are fixed???
haha i really really hate waiting.

Releasing decisions for a small fraction of the applicants (URMs are only about 15-20% of applicants) is easy.

To be totally honest, my guess would be that Emory, unlike schools like Northwestern (who don’t say ANYTHING at all about when decisions will be released) , really wants all applicants to not be consistently checking their inboxes for an e-mail. This is also a major perspective behind “POISON IVY DAY” (March 31 at 5:00pm) when all the ivy league schools release their decisions. I know its hard to believe, but admissions officer at the majority of universities actually care about their applicants and want them to not worry about their decision date. Of course, its is impossible to prevent worrying about decisions, but they try and do the best they can.

if you scroll down the page, that page was last updated on march 9, 2009.
the other page that says the decisions will be released on monday (march 30th, 2009), was last updated TODAY (friday march 28th)

so… my guess is that the decisions are going to be released on monday!

I’m glad we don’t have to wait until Wednesday!
Btw, I love these forums - I can just read the posts to find out when decisions come out. Of course, it can get kind of addictive, checking the forums too often…
