Finally no items missing! Well technically, but OPUS still shows me as missing 5. I called them and they have found my missing items on common application, so it was a problem with OPUS all along. To anyone who is still missing items according to OPUS, don’t sweat it, just give them a call and have it confirmed that everything was received.

^^And yea rodney’s logic seems logical to me. Only 104 more hours.

Klelts, I disagree - I think Emory’s ED numbers dropped and as a result they did not submit to NYT. I think since it dropped in USNews Rankings from 17 to 20, people do not pay as much attention to it. It’s a stupid reason, since those rankings aren’t everything, nor are they right in some aspects. Regardless that’s how it is. Man Friday midnight - this is crazy! I’m only worried about my GPA (3.6 UW) - so obviously I hope I get in. Good luck to all.

So I am getting very nervous and cant wait either. But since everyone is having so many problems with OPUS is this going to set them back this year? Is this going to be the year they break their Saturday before the 15th pattern? I really hope not! Best of luck to everyone and I hope we all get in and don’t forget to post if you get in or not on the thread. Also, I am sure Emory will email us letting us know if it will come out on Saturday at midnight or not! Just keep checking OPUS!!!

I thought about that too, but it seems like the ED applications really have them swamped. Maybe the numbers have increased, and they just haven’t had time to submit. Sorry for being a pessimist, but I’m just getting really nervous with deadline approaching. Best of luck to all of you!

FB has an official class of 2015 page with 93 members already! I thought at first acceptances had gone out, but it appears that they are all Emory Freshman waiting to welcome the new students! They are preparing to let you all know! It’s kind of like the ball dropping on NY’s Eve. The countdown is on!

…they haven’t said anything about it being released on Saturday. Just because they have done it in the past doesn’t mean they will do it this year. I’m expecting it to be released on the 15th and if it comes before then it will be a pleasant surprise.

um…this is really last minute but to those who took classes at a college, did you send in your college transcript as well? For me, I took college credit courses at my school so they appear in my HS transcript so I didn’t send it but now I’m confused…

I applied Early Decision I last year, and I’m now a freshman at Emory College. Boy do I remember watching the online counter tick down. ^_^

Just to clarify a few things: I received an email a couple of days before Saturday saying that they would release the decisions 8:00am the Saturday before the 15th. I believe they actually posted it at 12:15am the Saturday before the 15th.

The admissions decisions were up on OPUS, unless you are a legacy, in which case they sent you a personal email.

As you can see, the number of ED I applicants remained constant last year.

As for Emory Scholars, I also applied for Emory scholars when I turned in my ED application. Unfortunately, I was not nominated as an Emory scholar or semifinalist. I don’t believe the admissions office mentions their policy for accepting Early Decisioners as Emory scholars, but I personally do not know of any Emory scholars who applied Early Decision.

Best of luck to everyone! I hope to see many of you around campus next year!

Anytime before the 15th would be great honestly. I have finals next Monday and being accepted would serve as a huge moral boost, for the test, and rest of my HS career.

^The stats were for last year’s class I believe, hehe. I thought same thing when I saw them, but then realized the report was published 8 months ago.
