Background: I wrote my essay about video games. I know this is risky but I think I've done a decent job of writing and conveying my point. I know that one of the gripes people have with video games in college essays is that they hinder academic achievement. I wont lie and say that they have not hindered me in school but I think they have helped just as much. Playing games has helped me start my own business and Online marketing for myself. I severely cut back from the game at the end of Freshman year and my grades improved. Sophomore year I did much better but I still wasn't where I should have been. Junior year I had the same GPA as Sophomore year. Senior year(1st tri) I had a 3.65 up from a 3.4 the last 2 years.

Question: Will adcoms think I wasted all my time playing video games?

Other Info:
I wrote my common app essay on starting my own service selling items in video games. I talked about failure and how it helped me become better and spark my interest in entrepreneurship. The Emory specific one is about the course I would teach @ Emory if I had the choice. I decided I would teach a class on E-sports and how traditional careers/methods/paths are not always the best.

*My SAT scores are within range of Emory(Oxford College)
*ECS are my businesses and working for myself. No ECS at school because my I had no reliable way home. I found my passions outside of school ECS
*The Common APP Essay is well written

So is this too risky?
