<p>I got in emory ED (picked it over NYU), and I was wondering if any major ibanks from NYC recruit there? I heard that emory's focus is marketing, does this mean ibanks disregard its finance dept. completely?</p>

<p>Not at all. According to my sources, Wachovia recruited 14 Emory students last year. I realize most Wachovia jobs are in retail banking, but they also have a pretty decent IBanking division. Citigroup and Lehman Brothers recruited 4 students each. UBS hired three and Goldman Sachs and Merrill hired two each. Clearly, those numbers aren't as impressive as NYU's, but I would not go so far as to say tgat IBanks "disregard" Emory either. If you maintain a high GPA and take initiative, you should be ok.</p>
