Would Emory be advisable for pre-med and a minor in religious studies ?
im from the south so i dont want to go to far from my house, and emory is one of the better schools in the south.
thanks in advance,

While Emory is known to be strong for preparing students for medical school, "pre-med" is not a major. You can major in whatever you desire and still apply and be competitive for medical school admission. For example, my friends who have been accepted to medical school this year are Philosophy and English majors.
This has been a long way of saying yes.

well in order to be eligible for med school you need to take the pre-med classes here, which are quite extensive.

But there is plenty of room to fulfill the pre-med requirements and major or minor in non-related fields.

yeah i'm thinking of doing something like that,
majoring in biochemistry, and minoring in international studies or something cultural related

thanks you guys :)
