Oh and if it matters, My mother is an immigrant and my father didn't go to college.

You are well qualified for any school in the country. Recommendations depend upon regional preferences & what you plan to study. Consider the Ivies & Stanford & Northwestern. (Northwestern University will probably fly you in for a diversity weekend.)

i think you have a very good shot at emory and a pretty good shot at rice...

i would say you are a lock at florida, as good as a school as it is

i would also say you should apply to some other tougher schools, maybe a couple more matches/reaches like:

South:
duke
unc
vanderbilt

Other:
Northwestern
Michigan
Cornell
Brown

Wow that's encouraging! I will look up some of those schools.

Oh and Work Experience: I worked in a Doctor's office (Receptionist) and should be getting a job at Publix or Walmart soon

I plan on going pre-med and majoring in psychology

Your chances at Rice are great....good class rank, nice Act Score...Try showing interest in both schools, for Rice, try visiting or doing an interview in your area...same for emory.......

Good Chances at Emory....

I would defintly suggest apply to more tougher schools....Northwestern, Johns Hopkins, Duke, even a couple a couple of ivy league schools, (UPenn, Columbia, Brown, Dartmouth---At Dartmouth, your really good class rank and act scores will help you a lot).....

You are well qualified than most candiates, and urm status is just an extra plus......

hah ok thank you

well, this is about the average student at Emory and Rice, so theyre both matches, but if you want to secure your acceptance, write an essay talking about what makes you different from the other applicants, and why you are special
