<p>Hey everyone.
I'm a junior and I know for a fact that I'm going to apply to Rice (#1) and Emory as well as Oxford at Emory. I live in Florida so will probably apply to UF if I need to stay in state. Please chance me and give any suggestions for other schools to look at too!</p>

Courseload: Hardest available, all Honors classes
(5 years of science, 5 yrs of math, 5 yrs of social sciences, 3 yrs of spanish, 4 yrs of English) I plan on self studying AP Psych
Class Rank: 2 or 3/40
GPA: 3.8 UW, 4.3 W
I shouldn't have too much trouble writing the essay and all my teachers love me so my Recs should be great.
SAT: 1st time- 2040
ACT: 1st time- 33</p>
<p>2 yrs of Varsity Volleyball
2 yrs of Varsity Cheerleading
2 yrs of Karate
Class President for 3 yrs
SGA, NHS
Foreign Missions trips
Active in Drama and music
Play piano at church
Volunteering at Nursing homes, hospitals and animal shelters</p>
<p>Oh and if it matters, My mother is an immigrant and my father didn't go to college.</p>
<p>You are well qualified for any school in the country. Recommendations depend upon regional preferences & what you plan to study. Consider the Ivies & Stanford & Northwestern. (Northwestern University will probably fly you in for a diversity weekend.)</p>
<p>Your chances at Rice are great....good class rank, nice Act Score...Try showing interest in both schools, for Rice, try visiting or doing an interview in your area...same for emory.......</p>

<p>I would defintly suggest apply to more tougher schools....Northwestern, Johns Hopkins, Duke, even a couple a couple of ivy league schools, (UPenn, Columbia, Brown, Dartmouth---At Dartmouth, your really good class rank and act scores will help you a lot).....</p>
<p>You are well qualified than most candiates, and urm status is just an extra plus......</p>
<p>well, this is about the average student at Emory and Rice, so theyre both matches, but if you want to secure your acceptance, write an essay talking about what makes you different from the other applicants, and why you are special</p>
