Is there a form that the teacher, writing the recommendation for the Emory Scholar program, should complete or should they simply write a recommendation on plain paper?

The teacher writes his/her recommendation on plain paper.....

Thanks MBJ!

No problem..... the teacher rec should be given to the GC who will then send everything down to Emory in one "package".

Does sthat include the application to Emory as well or just the material for the scholarship?

ALL the material for the scholarship gets sent by the GC office. The application of admission to the school itself gets sent by the applicant, except for the official transcript and GC recommendation which get sent by the GC.

I'm not applying for Emory Scholars, but the GC would send his recommendation directly to Emory? I thought I had to send everything (all teachers recom, essays, GC recom, etc.) in one package. Would it really matter if I send the GC recom. along with my application?

For regular admission, the GC usually sends his recommendation along with the applicant's official transcript. Most GC will not release either to the applicant. Then again, school's policies can vary.
