Is the Nov 15th deadline a “hard stop” for consideration or is there a possibility of being considered if you turn in application at the regular deadline?
My guess is that the November 15th date is the deadline for most people. The reason why I say “most people” is because last year there were 1-2 people on CC who claimed to receive this scholarship without actually applying, and they thought a mistake was made. I suppose if Emory really wants you it does not matter when you apply, but this is only based on what I read last year. I would recommend applying by the deadline.
I’d take Emory at their word that the deadline is the deadline.
DD applied by scholar deadline but did not check that she is applying for FA. I am hoping we can change this later since the school is need blind so it should not come into play as soon as application is filed anyway? Also I have a really basic question - for the CSS do the parents create a separate college board account that is then somehow linked to the child’s or do they log into the child’s college board account to complete the form? (I do not live in the same state as my daughter)
